Lava Glass offers a unique opportunity to view the process of Glass Blowing and see an original product in the making. A new addition to Lava Glass Taupo is Lava Caf where you can enjoy freshly made caf style delights or choose from our delicious menu. Sit inside on comfortable couches and tables, or outside on the sunny patio and take in the rural surrounds. The Caf and Gallery is also a unique function venue for morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea.
The Glass Blowing Studio is where visitors can view the glass blowing process by Glass Artist Lynden Over. His training in glass blowing, jewellery and sculpture brings a unique quality of form to his glass work.
Lynden's work includes bowls, stopper bottles, vases, spiral bottles, galactic bowls, paper weights, pillar platters and more. All pieces are individually made, and therefore all vary slightly in shape size and design, making it an original piece perfect as collector's items. All designs are available in a selection of colors.
